Astronomy Adventures
(for children ages 4 – 10)

• SCHOOLS and AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMS who want to offer an informal science program for grades 1-3

Our Astronomy Adventures is a fun-filled participatory one hour program that includes these topics:

• Storytelling
• Exploring a touchable star planetarium dome
• Learning the Moon’s phases
• Make a space-related project to take home

Learning Objectives:

• Connect stories with specific star patterns
• Learn to identify the patterns in the night sky
• Explore why the moon appears to change shape in the sky
• Make a space-related craft to take home

Noreen Grice is author of six books that make outer space accessible to people with different learning styles and where disability is no boundary. She has over 30 years of experience working with children in the planetarium and is based in central Connecticut.
